BMW Thailand hopes to see higher sales this year after having fully restructured to increase its market share and enhance customer satisfaction in Thailand.
''We are confident BMW car sales in Thailand will pick up even though the premium car segment is stable this year,'' said president Michael Kordys. Improvement was evident when BMW car sales here increased significantly, by 130% last month compared with the same period the previous year, he said
The company also reorganised production at its assembly plant in Rayong last year to increase flexibility so BMW can catch up with demand more quickly. The company aims to strengthen the capability of its dealers, sustain their profitability and upgrade all dealer outlets and personnel to reflect BMW's brand value. BMW now has 18 authorised dealers nationwide.
The company plans to expand satellite service for MINI by opening two new service centres in Phuket and Nakhon Ratchasima sometime this year. It did the same for BMW last year.
To further ensure quality after-sales services and utmost customer satisfaction, BMW has introduced a complete maintenance service program.
The BMW mobility service program was equipped with the latest innovative equipment that offers BMW car owners a precise diagnostic analysis when maintenance or repair was required.
Mr Kordys said BMW would focus on raising its share in the imported car market as well as gain further recognition in its fleet business to establish the brand as the vehicle of choice of five-star hotels and resorts.
