Japan's manufacturer sets up plant in Chon Buri/Thailand

CBC Ings (Thailand) Ltd, a Thai unit of Japan-based CBC Ings, has won the Board of Investment's tax incentives for the Bt362 million plant to manufacture chemical, machinery and plastic parts in the Kingdom.

The plant, located at Amata Nakorn Industrial Estate in Chon Buri, will manufacture plastic parts for the electrical and automobile industries with the capacity to produce about 30 million pieces a year. The plant's metal coating capacity is for 133.4 million per annum. It is expected to hire upto 1,000 workers.

CBC Ings manufactures and sells optics,information electronic equipment, manufacturing,processing of parts related to IT, importing ,exporting and sales such as synthetic resin, transformation goods, medicine, agrochemicals, foods,machine, and apparel.

Atchaka Sribunruang Brimble, secretary-general of the BoI, said CBC Ings' products would be sold to local and overseas buyers.

"We attracted the investment through the Osaka Office, which approached the company to come here. CBC Group has now invested in several countries like the US, Poland, China and India. We expect more investment from big corporations to follow," she said.
