Vol. 4: No. 8, August 2009 Flex-fuel interest (The Nation, 21.07.2009) |

|
Volvo, General Motors and Ford have shown interest in producing and marketing flex-fuel vehicles (FFV) in Thailand, thanks to the government's clear policies to promote gasohol E85, an Energy Ministry source said yesterday. Energy Minister Wannarat Charnnukul will tomorrow meet with government agencies, auto-parts makers and auto-makers to discuss obstacles in promoting FFV. Meanwhile, the Energy Policy and Planning Office is spending Bt19 million to campaign for gasohol consumption among motorcycle owners, as 80-90 per cent of the 20 million motorbikes on the road are still running on 91-octane petrol.
